CENTRAL WISCONSIN - Changes are afoot in the Week 3 prep football power poll in the central Wisconsin area after a number of head-to-head matchups.
Iola-Scandinavia continued to make an early statement with a 49-14 verdict over previously unbeaten Wittenberg-Birnamwood. No one still has figured out how to score against Edgar.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin Rapids, Amherst and Marathon enjoyed bounce-back performance after suffering losses a week earlier.
Here is a look at the top five local teams after Week 3.
1. Edgar (3-0)
The Wildcats opened Marawood Conference play doing what they do best — playing stingy defense. Edgar recorded its third shutout in as many games with a 44-0 thumping of Tomahawk.
2. Amherst (2-1)
The Falcons bounced back from a tough 14-13 loss at small schools state powerhouse Saint Mary's Springs to blank Shiocton 36-0 in their Central Wisconsin Conference-Large opener. Shiocton mustered just 76 yards of total offense.
3. Iola-Scandinavia (3-0)
Teams are still trying to find a way to slow down the Thunderbirds, who have scored at least 41 points in each of their three wins. Bryce Huettner churned out 2-5 yards on the ground to pace the attack against the Chargers.
4. Wisconsin Rapids (2-1)
The only blemish on the Raiders record is a 42-28 setback to Kimberly owners of a 59-game winning streak. Rapids regained its groove by surrendering just 126 yards in a 48-7 drubbing of Oshkosh North.
5. Spencer/Columbus Catholic (2-1)
The Rockets were their own worse enemy with five turnovers, including four lost fumbles in a 29-12 loss to state power Stanley-Boyd in a Cloverbelt Conference matchup. S/CC held a 12-7 lead late in the third quarter and outgained the Orioles 312 to 249 yards.
Earning honorable mention consideration were Stratford (2-1), Pittsville (3-0) and Marathon (2-1), which knocked off previously unbeaten Abbotsford.
