Political corruption now officially legal here

Letters to the editor

EDITOR: If there was ever any question that Wisconsin’s elected officials have been bought, that notion was laid to rest by last week’s Supreme Court decision ordering the cessation of the John Doe investigation and the destruction of the evidence into Walker’s illegal campaign activities.

Adding further evidence that elections are not on the up and up in Wisconsin is the new Chief Justice’s statement that the justices need not recuse themselves in cases where they have a vested interest or a real or perceived conflict of interest.

With this ruling, there is no longer any suspicion that the majority party’s elected officials, from the Legislature to the court, have carried out the orders paid for by their wealthy donors. It has been confirmed.

Corrupt political activity is no longer a crime in Wisconsin.
